Joint Press Release by the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance and the Nazarbayev Center

Vaduz, Liechtenstein / Astana, Kazakhstan At a ceremony at Vaduz Castle, the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance and the Nazarbayev Сenter signed today a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of political, social, educational, and humanitarian development. The cooperation between the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance and the Nazarbayev Center will focus on peace and security, socio-economic, cultural- humanitarian, educational, and democratic development. Within the parameters of their respective mission statements, the institutions will jointly promote the education of the general population and the development of professional capacity across the fields of their substantive cooperation. At the signing ceremony, H.S.H. Reigning Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein stated that “this cooperation between the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance and the Nazarbayev Center signals the beginning of a strategic alliance between two institutions that are truly committed to making a meaningful and tangible contribution to intelligent and sustainable development and knowledge transfer”. In his turn, Mr. Saudabayev said “the Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation signed today between the Nazarbayev Center and the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance is further evidence of the successful implementation of the strategy of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on building of a new independent state which today has reached a mutually beneficial partnership with the Principality of Liechtenstein, a country with the highest living standards in the world, great investment opportunities and progressive banking and financial system. We appreciate the fact that our country has become the first among the post-Soviet states which have established such cooperation with the Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance." The Liechtenstein Foundation for State Governance was represented at the signing ceremony by H.S.H. Reigning Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein (Chairman of the Foundation Board), H.S.H. Hereditary Prince Alois of Liechtenstein (Member of the Foundation Board), and Dr. Daniel Levin (Member of the Foundation Board).
